We’d rather set expectations plainly than surprise you later. Here’s what Piano Skool is, what it isn’t, and what we do and don’t promise. The full legal versions live in our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy — if anything here ever seems to differ from those, the Terms and Privacy Policy govern.

Results vary — and here’s why we say that. Every student story and testimonial on this site is real, from a real student, shared with permission. But they are descriptions of their progress, not promises about yours. When we say the 100-Day Roadmap covers what most adults spend about two years of weekly lessons reaching, we’re describing how the curriculum is sequenced compared to typical private-lesson pacing — not guaranteeing you’ll match that timeline. Piano is a long-cycle skill: your results depend on your practice, your consistency, and your starting point. What we promise is the container — a clear plan, real curriculum, and (in coaching programs) a real teacher watching your playing. What you build inside it is yours to earn.

Education, not advice — and not a school. Piano Skool is a private education business, not an accredited school or post-secondary institution. Our programs are for personal learning and enjoyment; they don’t confer academic credit, degrees, or formal qualifications. Nothing on this site or in our courses is medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice. And a practical note from a teacher who cares: if playing ever causes pain in your hands, wrists, or arms, stop and check in with a professional — good technique should never hurt.

Built for adults. Piano Skool is designed for adults — most of our students are in their 30s through 60s and beyond. You must be 18 or older to create an account or purchase a program; we don’t offer children’s accounts or kid-focused lessons.

What CoachBack is (and isn’t). CoachBack is asynchronous video feedback: you send a short clip of your playing, and Stacey personally records a video review — what’s working, what’s holding you back, what to practice next. It is not live 1-on-1 lessons, real-time chat, or on-demand coaching. Reviews follow our weekly teaching calendar (48 teaching weeks and 4 announced break weeks per year), and entitlements are use-it-or-lose-it per cycle, exactly as described in your member materials and our Terms.

A human watches your videos. Always. Every CoachBack review is watched and answered by a real, qualified pianist — never by AI or automated software. Today, that pianist is Stacey Bassetti personally. As Piano Skool grows, reviews may also come from teachers Stacey has personally trained and supervises under her method, and premium programs always tell you at enrollment who your coach is. The one place you will meet AI at Piano Skool is our website chat assistant, and it will tell you it’s an assistant if you ask. We think you deserve to know which is which.

Commitments and guarantees, at a glance. Each program has its own terms, stated before you buy and in full in our Terms: the 100-Day Roadmap carries a 30-day Love-It-or-Don’t-Pay money-back guarantee. (One honest heads-up: if you upgrade into Year-One within 30 days of buying the Roadmap, what you paid converts into non-refundable credit toward Year-One instead — the Roadmap guarantee ends at that moment and Year-One’s own protections take over. We say this before you upgrade, too.) Piano Skool Club has a flexible plan you can cancel anytime (future charges stop) and a prepaid annual plan that’s non-refundable once charged — cancelling stops the next year’s renewal. Year-One is a 12-month coaching commitment (offered in two tracks — bi-weekly or weekly CoachBack) with a short Fair Start cooling-off window at the beginning. After that window, payment-plan students keep one clearly defined exit — Love It or Leave It: submit at least 2 CoachBack videos in your first month and request to leave before your second payment runs, and we cancel your two remaining payments and close your access. Otherwise tuition is final, and each payment plan is a commitment to its track’s full program price ($2,499 standard / $4,499 FULL) — it is not a cancel-anytime membership. We say this everywhere on purpose: we’d rather lose a sale than enroll someone who expected something different.

Testimonials, endorsements & partners. Student stories are shared with permission and reflect each student’s own experience. If anyone is ever compensated to talk about Piano Skool (for example, an affiliate or partner), they’re required to disclose that relationship clearly.

Third-party materials & sites. Some coaching (like the Hero Song Track) uses sheet music you purchase yourself from third-party publishers (for example, Musicnotes.com) — their terms and prices are their own. Links to outside sites are provided for convenience, not endorsement, and we’re not responsible for their content or practices.

One more thing, for clarity: Piano Skool (pianoskool.com) is an independent brand of KeyScale Studio LLC and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or connected to Skool.com or its community platform.
